Origin of Christmas-The Shocking Truth

Christmas is the most celebrated season of the year in the whole wide world. Do you know where did Christmas originated? Christmas originally came from the Roman who associated Christmas celebration with their celebration of Saturnalia-an ancient Roman festivity in honor of the deity Saturn. Saturnalia festivities is a long celebration and starts December 17 and ends December 25 which involves offering of human sacrifice, sex, drinks and all things forbidden by Almighty Father. However, we have embraced Christmas celebration  because of  the festivities and joy the season brings. For us Christians, it may not be the exact date of the birth of Jesus, but we all join together in celebrating His birth. However, can we worship and honor God by involving ourselves with customs and traditions, which God Himself forbade as idolatry?. In fact those symbols of Christmas such as trees, mistletoe, wreath are actually pagan heathens. As the Bible clearly states in Jeremiah 10:2-4, "Thus saith the Lord, learn not the way of the heathen; and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven. For the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain. For one cutteth a tree out of the forest. The work of the hands of the workman with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold. They fasten it with nails and with hammers that it move not. "Here is another one Mark 7:7-8

According to some, Christmas means Christ and Mass -means pass over or death. Remember when all first born son of Egypt died and putting blood on the door would the angels passed over so that first son of Hebrews would not die. Others says, Mass means religious usage means Death or Sacrifice. Therefore, it means many death of Christ This is not how Christmas means to us , Christians.

It was really a shocking truth about Christmas. Since, it was originally from the Romans, then it must be for the Roman Catholic. Everybody enjoy celebrating it. I , myself enjoy Christmas celebration, because my mind was set to the birth of Jesus Christ who was a gift of  Almighty Father for our salvation. Although , sometimes I would rather think of celebrating His Resurrection should be the most celebrated season since God had won victory over death and which means salvation for us is available through His death .Not even the Jews celebrated December 25 as birth of Jesus. The celebration can not be changed as it was embraced both the pagan Romans and of course of the whole wide world. Remember , we people do what we want to do that  makes us enjoyable and happy , disregarding God's word. Celebrating Christmas therefore, is a lie to true Christian people who knows the true God.
